Canada Winter Games – Coach & Staff Applications Now OPEN!

Nordiq Alberta is advertising for coaching positions to fill the staff requirements for the 2023 Canada Winter Games (CWG) taking place in Prince Edward Island February 26 to March 5, 2023.

  • Any staff listed as Head coach on the official registration form must be fully certified under the National  Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) Competition stream, Development context or Level 4. 

Assistant coaches and Para Nordic designated coaches on the official registration form must be certified  under the National Coaching Certification Program Competition Stream Development context (Trained  status), or Level 4. 

The team will include Para-Nordic athletes; thus the additional Para-Nordic coach must have completed NCCP-CCI AWAD level training.

The 2023 CWG will include 12 able bodied athletes with 6 males and 6 females and there will be the  addition of 4 Para Nordic athletes with at least 1 male and 1 female. The total team size will be 14  athletes with the athletes and coaching staff working together as Team Alberta

Nordiq Alberta is seeking the following positions for the Canada Winter Games:

  • Head Coach
  • Assistant Coach
  • Team Manager
  • Wax Technician
  • Para Nordic Coach

The purpose is to have the coaching staff work together in both a competition format as well as a  training camp format. The athletes and coaches will have the opportunity to get to know each other  while developing a strong team atmosphere.
