Coaching Opportunity – Arctic Winter Games 2023

Every two years, the northern communities above the 55th latitude participate in circumpolar games. The Arctic Winter Games have been running since 1970 and Team Alberta North has been an active contingent since 1986. This coming year (a year postponed), Fort McMurray will be hosting these international games and Team Alberta North is looking for three cross country skiing volunteer coaches.

Requirements:

• Coaches must have a minimum Community Coaching (CC) NCCP level
• Must be available to travel with the team and participate for the duration of the entire event January 29th - February 4, 2023 (as well as staging events)
• Provide a valid Criminal Record Check (including Vulnerable Sector)
• Have a mailing address above the 55th parallel
• In line with the Arctic Winter Games International Committee, all coaches, athletes and officials must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
