Welcome Emily & Mark!

Nordiq Alberta would like to introduce two new staff members to the Nordiq Alberta team! Emily Yungblut is joining us as the Outreach Coordinator and Mark Toth is joining us as the Coach & Para Nordic Coordinator.

Emily Yungblut is an avid Nordic Skier and ultra runner. When she’s not training in the mountains, you can find her wearing a number of hats in the bow valley. She is an independent consultant, skilled in capital acquisition, revenue & profit growth, business development and investment strategy. She wanted to get more involved in the ski community this year, and utilize her skill set to help clubs across the province increase membership, engagement and financial stability.

Mark Toth has been a passionate nordic ski fan all his life and an avid student of the sport. His background in skiing started off as a kid on three pin bindings, skiing around untracked farmland imagining to be on some great epic mission. He later moved on to loppets, ski tours in the mountains and has spent the last 10 years involved with Foothills Nordic as a coach and coordinator for U12 - U18 athletes. Coaching has also given him the opportunity to work with Nordiq Canada prospects and to travel and work with a club in Oslo, Norway. Mark holds a Bachelors of Arts in English and is a teacher at the High School level in Calgary where he teaches diverse learners with a goal to build inclusion in the classroom and the community beyond. Mark is extremely grateful for all skiing has brought him and is eager to facilitate helping others develop the skills and knowledge they’ll need on xc skis to have their own great adventures.

Join us in welcoming Emily & Mark to the team!
