Alberta Winter Games
The 2026 Alberta Winter Games will take place February 13-16, 2026 in Lakeland Region.
Athletes aged 11-16 will compete in a variety of individual and team sports at the Alberta Winter Games. Participants qualify to attend the games through various zone playoffs and selections held throughout the province.
All sports must adhere to the minimum eligible requirements for athletes, coaches and chaperones, Alberta Games Athletes, Coaches and Chaperone Eligibility.
The draft technical package contains the sport rules, competitive categories and the age eligibility for each sport.
All athletes must qualify for the 2026 Alberta Winter Games through a zone selection process for their sport. Zone playoffs for each sport will begin in Fall 2025. Check out what zone you live in.
Arctic Winter Games
Whitehorse, Yukon is set to host the 2026 Arctic Winter Games from March 8-15, 2026.
A minimum of one coach must be fully Certified under the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) to at least the Train to Train (T2T) level. Additional coaches must be minimally Trained at the T2T level and have completed the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions Online Evaluation.
